Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Snow Removal Driver/Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Snow Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the completion of snow removal service contracts. This includes conducting plowing operations and salt applications. Responsibilities- Operate power equipment and hand tools including plow trucks, skid loaders, salt spreaders, snow blowers, and backpack blowers.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Record site activity, including site photos and time records.
- Assist in other work-related duties, including loading and unloading of trucks and equipment, and vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in snow plowing operations.
- Proficiency in using iPad and phone technology for time recording.
- Effective communication skills – ability to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs.
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various snow and ice removal activities.
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous tasks.
- Compliance with all company policies and regulations.
- Adherence to all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires good manual dexterity.
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
- Work outdoors in various conditions including rain, dust, noise, and cold temperatures.
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work and overnight.
