Position Summary:
The Clinical Educator is a senior-level position responsible for the development and implementation of educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cultivates positive and collaborative relationships within the Care Management Department and with the nursing and clinical leadership team to ensure that educational needs are being met in the most effective manner possible.
- Provides leadership through educational activities to bring about changes in clinical practice.
- Coordinates the implementation of all education in the department; providing appropriate learning materials for the curriculum.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing required; Master's in Nursing or Nursing related preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of acute care experience as a Nurse or LVN.
- Minimum two (2) years case management experience in an acute care setting,
- Care/Case Management certification highly preferred; candidate must obtain CCM or ACM certification within 1 year of hire.
- Nursing educator experience highly preferred.
- Current California Nursing license.
- Experience with implementation of an EMR preferred.
