Job Description
We are seeking a Foreman to join our team. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently supervising onsite operational activities, including pit and/or plant production, plant maintenance, and mobile equipment operations. The foreman will also provide leadership to the hourly workforce to ensure safe and efficient production, maintenance, and customer service.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have:
- Training and development of team members
- Scheduling, performance management, and effective leadership of hourly workforce
- Successfully leading the Company's safety initiatives
- Practical application of working knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations
- Implementing environmental processes and regulations
- Successfully leading and managing established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics
- Participating in yearly planning of quarry production, maintenance and salary costs to meet budget goals
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil), Business, or equivalent experience
- 2 years' experience in aggregate operations with understanding of mineral processing equipment such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and associated mobile equipment
- Minimum 1-year of supervisory experience in a mining environment
- Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with pit design/exploration, drilling, blasting, inventory control, inventory measures and customer service preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule as required; including nights and weekends
