Martin / Martin, Inc. is looking for a civil engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types. The position would offer the opportunity to work on varied types of projects, including municipal, utility healthcare, affordable housing, educational facilities, housing developments, and much more.

Our structural engineers develop customized structural systems to meet design requirements for new facilities and expansions. Our civil teams focus on site and infrastructure design including traffic / transportation, parking, street layout / lighting, water and wastewater utilities, stormwater drainage, circulation, paving, surveying, security issues, and other site considerations. Our investigative engineers can provide support for existing projects, both buildings and sites, to design and implement repairs, renovations, or improvements. With nine office locations and a staff of more than 370, Martin / Martin engineers regularly perform work throughout Colorado, across the United States, and internationally.
A typical workweek can include engineering calculations, drawing development, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors early in your career, along with opportunities for marketing activities. Projects are typically in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Examples Of Responsibilities :
- Use of computer design and graphics software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Coordinate work of other disciplines
- Completes design calculations for project components
- Studies and applies building code and / or jurisdictional requirements under the supervision of the Project Manager
- Perform reference research
- Prepares details
- Prepares and writes reports
- Calculates and checks dimensions
- Provides field observation, review of shop drawings and product submittals during construction
- Work overtime when necessary.
