What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Admin/Cash Clerk position at Martin's Snacks?
SUMMARY
The Accounting Admin/Cash Clerk position is responsible for the cash funds of Route Sales drivers and the office. This position also performs customer service and switchboard functions. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm and is completely onsite at our office in Thomasville, Pennsylvania. Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not necessary to be a good fit for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Uploads daily sales data and verifies correct information of all routes.
- Sorts drivers' daily money bags. Monitors for missing or incorrect paperwork and unauthorized charges.
- Manages and maintains department records, reports, and filing systems by filing all invoices and daily reports.
- Prepares daily cash bank deposits and records all data appropriately.
- Enters sales data from the retail store, mail orders, and markets.
- Answers incoming telephone calls, takes customer orders or forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Cross train with AP accountant with paperwork duties
- Assist with Central Billing and Vendor Accounts
- Cross train with AR Deposits/Cash application
- Assist Accounting Manager with projects as needed
- Assists in covering the Retail Store.
- Maintains route sequencing and entering new route sales personnel.
- Back up to receive, sort, and route internal mail.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) and;
- One to three months of related experience or training or;
- Equivalent experience of education and experience
SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
