Job Summary
Local construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant/Admin. to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the controller and other departments in various tasks. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts receivables/payables.
Accounting/Admin. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate records through bookkeeping.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Utilize QuickBooks, for data entry and reporting.
- Help with month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Assisting with quoting, estimating and scheduling.
- Tracking project management board.
- Running errands and picking up parts.
- Answering phones, data entry and other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be proficient in MS Word/Excel and using Google Docs.
The hours for this position will either be 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm. Pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. DOE. This is a temp-hire position. If you are interested in applying for this position please respond to this ad with your resume.
