Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Assistant at Martin, Van Hoy & Raisbeck, LLP in Mocksville, NC. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for tasks such as legal document preparation, communication, administrative assistance, and supporting a firm partner in various tasks related to law practice primarily Estate Administration, Estate Planning & Commercial Real Estate.
Qualifications
· Experience in Legal document Preparation for Estate Administration, Estate Planning & Commercial Real Estate.
· Strong Communication and Administrative Assistance skills.
· Experience working as a Legal Assistant. Financial background is a plus but is not a requirement.
· Attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team.
· Monthly reconciliation of Real Estate Trust with a third-party reconciliation service. Prepare and maintain Real Estate Trust Account reports for the North Carolina State Bar.
· Aid in answering multi-line phone calls from time to time.
· Clio software experience is a plus. But is not a requirement.
· Workers Compensation Audit annually.
· Personal Property listing for County taxes annually.
· SoftPro for Real Estate and 1099 submission annually.
