Job Summary : Provides technical and administrative leadership for a medium to larger team of engineering personnel .
Essential Functions :
Managing and leading a team of 7 employeesLeads planning and tracking of engineering activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and program timing.Identifies opportunities of improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies.Reviews and approves engineering recordsInterviews and selects new personnelConducts performance reviews including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actionsParticipates in development and ensures adherence to QMS PolicyProvides technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnelRequired to work extra hours and travel to meet Customer needsAll other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed n necessary by SupervisorProcess Owner for Engineering Product Design and DevelopmentCompetency Level 3 includes all advanced understanding of the processes and functions as theyrelate to the position as determined by the leadership team and ensure department managersand their direct reports are complying with system requirements for OSHA, IATF16949 andISO14001 compliance.Knowledge of customer specific requirementsAbide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies and the Martinrea Employee HandbookRequired Education and Experience :
