Job Summary:
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Housing Choice Voucher Specialist to join our team. Prior Section 8/Public Housing Experience is required. As an HCV Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting annual recertifications, move ins and request for tenancy packets.
Full Job Description:
Determine eligibility and continued participation in the Housing Choice Voucher participations and families. Duties include interviewing clients, certifying, recertifying annual and interim request, processing rent increase request, and conducting zero income interviews. Completing data entry, advising participants and landlords of program rules and regulations. Provide customer service to landlords as well as residents. Monitor clients for program compliance. Performs rent calculations on all approved units to determine contract rent, tenant portion, and Housing Assistance Payment portion. Perform rent reasonableness and rent affordability on all Request for Tenancy Approval forms.
Job Requirements:
An Associate’s degree is preferred but not required.
Property Management Experience Required
Must be able to complete a background screening
Strong communication skills and good customer service are required
Must obtain program certification within six (6) months of hire with Nan McKay, NAHRO or a comparable training agency in the areas of occupancy, rent calculations and eligibility
Must be proficient with Microsoft office
Reports to: HCV Program Manager

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
