Site Superintendent
POSITION SUMMARY
Martone, Inc. seeks a Site Superintendent to provide on-site management of our field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, construction activities and materials. In this position, you will ensure that our high-quality standards are met while completing projects on schedule and within budget. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for reading and understand plans and specifications performed
- Site layout from the ground up to completion
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations of the job including labor, subcontractors, vendors, and materials.
- Accountable for Quality Control across the project
- Accountable for keeping a clean, organized and job site
- Responsible for Team Safety, utilizes safe work practices and follows directives, policies and procedures for assisting and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, conducts weekly safety meetings
- Responsible for overall project labor budget and delivering schedule
- Works with Project Manager to coordinate labor needs as required
- Communicates and works with Project Manager daily to discuss pending decisions for timely resolution, review new or pending change orders, review what new subcontracts need to be produced, and review budget variances.
- Responsible for managing material ordering and reducing material pick-up when there is free delivery provided; Responsible for timely return of un-used material
- Responsible for scheduling required inspections
- Connected to office via iPhone / email, and maintains a full set of drawings
- Takes and catalogs job progress photos
- Maintains compliance with any special site restrictions required by the client or surrounding neighborhood
- Responsible for keeping Lead Carpenter informed of additional changes in scope
- Attend appropriate training and meetings as required
- Mentors Lead Carpenter, Carpenters and in-field personnel in their professional development and growth
- Uphold professional client/employee/vendor relationships with a strong commitment to client service
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead carpenter oversight
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Self-motivated, efficient, able to multitask and a team player
- Approaches projects with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to perform assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the Owner
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
5 - 10 years related experience minimum
Experience on projects valued between $1m to $5m
Salary negotiated based on experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, plans / specification performed and procedure manuals. English required, knowledge of Spanish a plus.
