PLM Trailer Leasing is the only nationwide company dedicated exclusively to the fleet management, leasing, rental and maintenance of refrigerated trailers. SUMMARY
Works with the Commercial team to develop pricing strategies to meet customers' needs while managing profit for the organization. Collaboratively designs, implements, and maintains pricing models for the Companies existing and new product offerings. Evaluates and consolidates core business costs of service in support of development of pricing models. Supports NPI teams with financial analysis, profitability, and pricing models. Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed. Provides reporting and documentation of pricing structures, financial profitability and serves as the point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from the Commercial team. Serves as primary financial analytical support for the Commercial sales leader.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
Develop and maintain strategic pricing models to maximize the Companies profits and win customers
Develops pricing strategies and models for New Product Introductions and monitors profitability via monthly reporting
Provide oversight and guidance that enables the Commercial Sales team to build winning creative proposals that are financially attractive for the Company and relevant for the client.
Implement pricing methodology based on customer’s perceived value/price sensitivity, pricing history, competitor pricing, cost to acquire and serve
Maintains pricing metrics to evaluate and monitor profitability
Primary finance support to the Commercial Sales Leader in all matters regarding deal profitability, product profitability, customer profitability, etc.
Support the business development process by compiling & analyzing relevant information, conducting analysis, providing insight and recommendations regarding the operating cost structure to develop the pro-formas / models applied to price the Companies product offerings both existing and new
Other Ad hoc projects as requested
Influence internally to encourage adoption of new pricing structures and strategies.
Consult with other business functions to identify and deploy operational best practices.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
5 years in FPNA or equivalent role or experience.
Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA in Finance
Experience in Equipment Leasing
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to view a deal from both Company and customer perspective and develop compelling solutions
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to analyze and interpret contractual, financial, technical, operational data and contracts
Ability to multi-task and work with multiple and conflicting projects; oversee a high amount of stress related to the business environment. Ability operate and deliver within a changing business environment and demonstrate resilience at times of high pressure
Advanced written and verbal communication skills as well as strong presentation abilities for interactions with all levels of the organization and with Senior Leadership and clients
Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive successful, cross-functional outcomes and to create a purposeful, team-oriented environment with clear accountability
Strong people skills – be able to effectively work with Sales, Operations, Commercial solutions team
Advanced spreadsheet software skills- Excel/Knowledge of Microsoft D365 and Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position is based in Newark, NJ. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
