What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Technician position at Marubeni Group Companies?
As a Packing Technician at our Shakopee location, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow within a liquid filling and packaging environment. Your work will include filling, labeling, and packaging bottles, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and conducting quality checks. You will also take the lead in changeovers of automated packaging lines, helping us maintain efficiency and quality. This is an on-site position, primarily Monday through Friday, during typical business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain strong attention to detail, prioritizing safety and reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents.
Start up, shut down, and efficiently operate equipment while completing necessary documentation.
Unpack, repack, and perform other tasks to prepare products for shipment.
Proactively report any issues to minimize production delays.
Ensure product quality meets specifications.
Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment You'll Use:Liquid fillers, cappers, date coders, induction sealers, labelers, robotic packers, carton erectors, automatic tape machines, palletizers, and motorized equipment like forklifts.

What You'll Bring:
A high school diploma (or equivalent work/life experience).
Minimum of a year experience in industrial operations, especially with IBC and bottle-filling equipment required.
Ability to maneuver throughout the facility, climb stairs/ladders, and remain seated or standing for long periods.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams and Outlook.
A track record of performing to high standards with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work extended hours and a few Saturdays during peak production times (April/May).
