What are the responsibilities and job description for the West Covina Store Meat Clerk position at Marukai Corporation?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES in Meat Department (Meat Clerk) (responsibilities include, but are not limited to):
· Cleaning, packaging, and cutting meat
· Ensuring proper presentation of our meat items along with providing a smile, greeting, and assisting customers who visit our Store.
· Ensures meat and deli items are handled, stocked, rotated and merchandised
· Checks product temperature to ensure freshness and quality
· Ability to maintain a knife grip in order to cut meat to specification
· Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate meat products per Marukai’ standards
· Unloading meat and deli Items upon vendor deliveries
· Checks product temperature to ensure freshness and quality
· Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate perishable products per Marukai’ standards
· Ensures that all meat products are in its right place, so shoppers can find what they need quickly and easily
· Operating pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machine
· Unpacking and stocking meat items
· Maintaining cleanliness of the store/ store upkeep
· Must clean and sanitize work areas
· Work Environment will be in extreme temperature
Customer Service:
· Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions
· Engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques
· Meets or exceeds Department’s sales goals assigned through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures
· Maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area, and selling floor
· Ensures a safe and clean work environment
· Cross Training:
· Store Support Associates exemplify teamwork and are open to and willing to be trained and step in when needed in all departments and similar skilled areas for filling and development opportunities.
