Are you an experienced HR leader with a passion for healthcare? We're seeking a talented Hospital Human Resources Director to join a well-established community hospital in Roanoke, VA, as part of a larger healthcare system. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a hospital with over 350 full-time employees, 80 physicians, and a combined 90 bed acute and skilled care facility.
As the HR Director, you will work closely with the executive and leadership teams to define, develop, and implement key People Services initiatives. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you'll be responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the hospital, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to executive leadership and management teams.
- Lead HR strategy and initiatives across the hospital campus, including acute care and skilled care facilities.
- Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment.
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, and employee development.
- Provide guidance and support for both administrative staff and clinical teams.
Must Have Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in acute care hospital HR.
- Strong background in employee relations, with a focus on maintaining positive staff engagement.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a 1-person HR department.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage diverse HR responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
