Compensation: $110,000 – $160,000

Facility Size: 200 licensed beds | Acute Care Setting
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic RN Director of Quality to join a well-established acute care hospital in New Mexico. This leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape and drive hospital-wide quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement programs.
Position Overview:
The Director of Quality will oversee all aspects of the hospital’s quality initiatives, including regulatory and accreditation readiness (Joint Commission, CMS, State of NM), disease-specific certifications, Leapfrog, patient satisfaction, national quality ratings, and public reporting. The role includes managing Infection Prevention and a team dedicated to disease-specific initiatives. This leader will also be responsible for quality budgeting, policy enforcement, and ensuring staff development and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead hospital-wide quality programs and performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure continuous readiness for accreditation and regulatory compliance
- Manage infection prevention and disease-specific certification teams
- Develop and maintain the quality budget
- Promote a culture of excellence in patient safety and care outcomes
- Mentor and support staff development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; MSN, MBA, or Healthcare Administration strongly preferred
- Current RN license in the State of New Mexico (or eligible for licensure)
- Minimum of 7 years of healthcare experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in clinical operations, program development, budgeting, and productivity
- For-profit hospital experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
