What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Framework Coach - Elementary (2025-2026 School Year) position at Mary H. Wright Elementary?
QUALIFICATIONS: Five or more years of teaching experience in an accredited school; A master’s degree or a bachelor's degree plus eighteen (18) additional hours; South Carolina professional certification in the subject area or grade level of intended support; Teaching experience in the subject area or grade level of intended support. Knowledge and use of the state's curriculum standards and assessment program; Evidence of extensive on-going training and professional development; Utilization of best practices in teaching; Record of attendance at 95% or above.
REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer
JOB GOALS: To train K5 - 5th grade teachers, elementary principals, assistant principals and other instructional staff on the District 7 Instructional Framework. To coach and assist teachers with planning and delivering effective, engaging lessons using the research-based District 7 Instructional Framework.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with others in a professional, cooperative and respectful manner; organizes his/her work and time in order to spend time training and coaching teachers on the District 7 Instructional Framework. The training will require both group and 1:1 instruction and coaching as well as modeling lessons using the District 7 Instructional Framework.
TERMS: 200 days; salary to be established by the Board
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in compliance with the Board's policy on evaluation and professional personnel.
