Summary
Mary Johnson Children's Center is seeking a dynamic leader to co-direct afterschool and summer programming for children aged 5-12. The School Age Programs Co-Director will wear many different hats; the planner, the problem-solver, the educator and the counselor being a few of them. If you are up to the task, and you are committed to high-quality school-age services, we would like to meet you. This position averages 30 hours per week throughout the year.
Duties
The Co-Director is responsible for the management and supervision of the school age program in a manner that contributes to effective growth and development of the program. This role must maintain confidentiality and have experience supporting the diverse needs of children, families, and staff. Responsibilities include record keeping, onboarding staff, curriculum and program planning and management, communication with families, staff support and oversight, and daily program operations.
Requirements
BA / BS plus experience in working with elementary aged children in a non-academic setting, as well as experience in leadership and supervision. Must love children, be flexible, work as part of a team, facilitate relationships, and respond to the needs and interests of children.
