Job Summary - 

The Server Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and advanced maintenance of the hospital's server infrastructure. This role involves project implementation, performance optimization, and advanced troubleshooting. The Server Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical systems. 

In order to achieve this goal their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 

• Design and implement server solutions to meet hospital needs. 

• Perform advanced server configuration and optimization. 

• Troubleshoot complex server performance and stability issues. 

• Manage and maintain server virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V). 

• Implement and manage server security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems. 

• Develop and maintain server automation scripts. 

• Plan and execute server upgrades and migrations. 

• Perform in-depth capacity planning. 

• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions. 

• Monitor and analyze server performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. 

• Provide technical guidance and support for other IT staff. 

• Participate in the development and maintenance of server documentation and standards. 

Regulatory Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience. 

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional). 

Language Skills

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Skills

Skills required: 

• Advanced knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux). 

• Experience with server virtualization technologies. 

• Strong networking skills (routing, switching, firewalls). 

• Experience with scripting and automation tools. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines. 

Skills desired: 

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff 

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS). 

• Experience with database administration. 

• Experience with containerization technologies.
