SUMMARY
Assists Programming Director with therapeutic recreation activities for Chatham Place Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plan, set up and lead activities for residents (sports, games, events and off-site trips).
- Responsible for providing administrative support to Programming Director and other team members.
- Maintain recreational equipment (tables, instruments and electronics) and keep areas clean while assisting residents with programs and activities.
- Provide a safe environment and follow all policies and regulations of Chatham Place.
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college preferred; minimum of six months to one year related experience and/or training of recreation experience a plus (art, therapy, music dance and reading).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with general mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
