MCVRC seeks a highly skilled, innovative visionary professional to provide day-to-day support of non-attorney advocacy and support services to Maryland crime victims and victim representatives.

Primary Duties and Essential Functions

  • Conducts client intakes to develop individual needs assessments.
  • Provides direct services and non-attorney services to victims of crime including, but not limited to case management, crisis intervention, trial preparation, court accompaniment, advocacy, CICB applications, service referrals and support.
  • Provides ongoing case management services including, but not limited to in-person meetings, advocacy with police, State's Attorney, and other community resources to victims of crime.
  • Coordinates with victim service agencies statewide through community collaboration
  • Coordinates intra-agency services with MCVRC legal and clinical staff.
  • Collaborates with MCVRC attorneys to address the legal needs of each client.
  • Accurate record keeping and data entry of client cases and files.
  • Assists in event planning with all MCVRC events relating to victims’ rights and services.
  • Assists in maintaining a case management system by ensuring accurate record keeping and data entry of assigned client’s cases and files.
  • Assists with grant reporting by ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Represents MCVRC at meetings and events, conducting presentations as needed.
  • Provides outreach on behalf of MCVRC.
  • Supports agency mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type - Full-Time

Salary - $58,041

Benefits – 401k, Insurance: Health, Dental, Vision, Life

Schedule – Monday – Friday; Some remote work available after training on a case by case basis

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field preferred (psychology, human services, sociology, criminal justice, or related field). In lieu of degree, 5 years relevant work experience.
  • 1-year experience with victim services preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs required
