We are a local, women-owned small business with highly attended classes for Youth and Adults, who have served over 1000 dancers and created a transformational and inclusive community. We have a proven track record of training dancers to become professionals with programs like our popular Stadium Series.

Maryland Dance Project is currently seeking a Dance Studio Administrator to be the day-to-day leader of our studio’s functionality. This person will be providing support to our staff, answering questions about accounts and studio activities, taking phone calls, and most importantly, being friendly and social with all who come through the doors of Maryland Dance Project.
Schedule (subject to change)
Wednesdays 4:45-9:15pm
Thursdays 5:45-9:15pm
Saturdays 8:45am-2:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Prompt responses of all phone and email correspondence
- Answer questions parent/guardians/clients have regarding registration and payment
- Oversee and manage evening and Saturday classes
- Process refunds
- Contact customers with outstanding balances
- Maintain and organize all children class registrations
- Maintain and update mailing lists
- Organize and manage substitutes as needed
- Assist in organization of dance recital and performance opportunities
- Assist with social media (photography, videography, posting)
- Opening and closing out the studio
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the studio
Qualifications:
- Friendly and welcoming: You have great social skills and care about our clients' happiness as well as the mission and vision of Maryland Dance Project.
- Strong organizational skills: You're able to maintain organization and proactively complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Sales/Customer Service Skills: You embrace selling the benefits of dance classes to families and convincing them to sign up for classes!
- Bachelor's degree required.
- General knowledge of dance and the performing arts.
- One years' administrative/sales experience required.
- Experience working with parents and families.
