The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) provides support to state agencies, the Executive Office of the Governor, the Governor’s coordinating offices, and a variety of independent agencies within the Executive Branch.

Main Purpose
The Microsoft 365 Administrator plays a pivotal role in the governance and standardization of the Service Catalog for Microsoft 365. This role is essential for ensuring that the organization's Microsoft 365 environment is managed efficiently and securely. The primary responsibilities include overseeing the deployment, configuration, and administration of Microsoft 365 services, such as Power Platform, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, and Teams. By implementing and maintaining standardized processes and policies, the administrator supports the broader goals of enhancing productivity and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Collaboration with various teams, including IT, marketing, and customer service, is crucial to integrate Microsoft 365 services seamlessly into existing workflows and to address the specific needs of different departments. The impact of this role on the organization is significant, as it not only improves operational efficiency but also enhances the user experience and security of the Microsoft 365 environment. Position Duties
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including Power Platform, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other related services.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Ensure security and compliance by configuring and managing security settings, policies, and access controls.
- Perform regular system audits and generate reports on usage and performance.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate Microsoft 365 services with existing systems and workflows.
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration and operation of Microsoft 365 services.
- Coordinate with other departments to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using Microsoft 365 tools.
- Report to the IT Manager and provide regular updates on system status and project progress.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT administration, with a focus on Microsoft 365 services.
- Proven experience in managing and configuring Microsoft 365 services, including Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features
- Preferred Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100 and MS-101)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management of Microsoft 365 services.
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and other Microsoft cloud services.
Salary : $70,000 - $123,000
