General purpose : The MFA Illustration Practice program is seeking an artist-educator able to coordinate, manage and critique a series of workshops within the required MFA Studio II course in the MFA Illustration Practice program.
Summary of Essential Functions : Experience with illustration, feedback / communication skills and critical evaluation with graduate students in a required illustration studio course.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Implement a portion of a 16-week syllabus
- Evaluate technical and conceptual skills
- Work with students on conceptual development
- Lead critical discussions concerning material use within specific workshops
- Coordinate material-based workshop leaders, assign 3-4 reaction projects that integrate learning outcomes through faculty and cohort critiques
