What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Programs Division Chief position at Maryland State Highway Administration?

Nature of Work: The main purpose of this position is to provide leadership, supervision, management, direction, and administration of work in the Landscape Programs Division (LPD) within the Office of Environmental Design (OED). The Division Chief (DC) leads a division responsible for supporting SHA’s capital and operating programs through statewide efforts for the planning, design and maintenance of landscape assets; regulatory compliance for roadside trees and reforestation, including mitigation; and regulatory compliance for noxious weeds, all statewide.
Experience: Six (6) years of experience in administrative or professional work. Three (3) years of experience must include work in environmental programs related to natural resources such as environmental permitting and mitigation; environmental planning; landscape design, establishment and management; vegetation management; turf and landscape maintenance; and/or the inspection and protection of natural and environmental resources. Two (2) years of this experience must have involved the supervision of other employees.

4. Do you possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in state of Maryland?
