The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Distribution Center Operations Coordinator to coordinate and optimize warehouse operations in our third-party logistics (3PL) facilities. Based in the Dallas, TX area, this role will involve regular travel to warehouse locations throughout the Dallas area as well as in Las Vegas, NV to ensure consistent operational standards and support between locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in warehouse operations for both Retail and Direct To Consumer (DTC) shipments, inventory control, process improvement, and a strong understanding of warehouse management system (WMS) software systems. The Distribution Center Operations Coordinator must show initiative and be able to work independently and prioritize effectively. This individual will report to the Distribution Manager in the MaryRuths Supply Chain department. This role is a full-time, hybrid, salary-exempt position with a compensation range of $70,000 - 75,000 USD per year; candidates must be based in the Dallas, TX area.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day operations within 3PL warehouses to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with warehouse managers and teams to optimize workflows, improve productivity, and ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Conduct and oversee inventory audits and cycle counts, ensuring data integrity and addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Serve as a liaison between warehouse staff and corporate MRO teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment on goals, expectations, and initiatives.
  • Regularly travel between the Dallas-area and Las Vegas warehouses to evaluate operations, provide support, and implement consistent processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with MRO company policies and quality standards across all warehouse operations.
  • Analyze operational performance and metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management required.
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, OR equivalent experience preferred
  • Demonstrated work experience in the CPG industry OR work with 3PL providers with both Retail and DTC shipments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse performance metrics and lean operations principles required.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English / Spanish) helpful.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and leadership abilities in order to coordinate with diverse teams across multiple companies.
  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 5x / week) between Dallas, TX- area locations and monthly between Dallas, TX and Las Vegas, NV.
  • Reliable and consistent transportation with the ability to meet travel requirements.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • This role involves sitting, standing, local travel, domestic travel, and moving around warehouses and warehouse locations.
