Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Overview

Marysville Marine Distributors wants to add a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our OH team. MMD is a wholesale distributor of marine engine parts, fuel components, plumbing, steering controls, electrical equipment oil, and more, with over 100 product lines and 5,000 plus dealers nationwide, we have a large network with which to provide engines, generators, parts and accessories to the marine market. Our mission over the past 50 years has not changed: to provide quality products with the best customer service in the marine industry. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and managing inventory. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing orders, and ensuring that shipments are handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities :

• Daily Order Shipping
• Daily Receiving
• Stock Transfers
• Truck Freight Shipment
• Inventory Checks
• Warehouse Supply Replenishment
• Inventory Bin Location
• Sales Assistance
• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
• Operates PB crimp tools, including diagnosis, repair, and processing.
• Operates the stretch wrap banders.
• Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
• Maintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role in wholesale distribution is preferred.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
