This is a 10 hour shift, 4 days per week with some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
- Increases access to evidence-based treatment for LGBTQIA clients of New Jersey with mental health disorders.
- Meets with the clients for coaching at least weekly during the first six (6) months and then monthly in the remaining six (6) months.
- Provides education and awareness with mental health disorders.
- Provides recovery support for clients throughout their continuum of care and into the community for up to one year.
- Provides Motivational Interviewing (MI) social skill interventions, and support for patients to gain the necessary adaptive skills to be successful in recovery.
- Assists the clients with implementing their recovery plans, connects them to services and self-help groups, and supports positive behavioral change.
- Helps clients cope with stressful situations that could lead to relapse of mental health concerns.
- Assists clients with progression through the stages of change to alter high-risk behaviors, model effective problem solving skills, and provide on-going monitoring.
- Stay in engaged with clients and provide support where needed.
- Develop and collect project data plan.
- Implement GPRA/NOMS at intake, discharge, and at the six (6) month mark of recovery.
- Performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- Education/Licensure: Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience working in with mental health disorders with demonstrable results. Experience supporting the LGBTQIA community.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and car insurance is required. An MVR check will be completed.
- Valid NJ Certification as a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP) preferred.
- Sobriety: If recovering, must have at least two (2) years of continuous sobriety and maintain sobriety throughout employment.
