Receptionist
Maryville, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive, and energetic individual to fulfill the position of Receptionist on our front desk. This is a part-time, benefits eligible position reporting directly to our Administrator. The hourly rate of pay is $18-22/hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
- operating the switchboard in a courteous, professional manner
- answering calls promptly and pleasantly
- directing calls efficiently
- recording messages accurately
- refraining from providing information and making decisions not pertinent to the job
- respecting the confidential nature of switchboard business
- maintaining switchboard professionalism
- dressing appropriately and professionally
- observing Maryville policies and procedures
- being aware of Convent safety and emergency procedures
- being flexible to the diversity of the job
- greeting all visitors and guests, performing identification checks as necessary
- accepting deliveries and informing appropriate parties
- providing general information regarding Maryville facilities and events
- preference given to candidates with health care environment experience
- performing all other tasks as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- demonstrate efficient operational skill of switchboard equipment
- have basic knowledge of computer applications
- demonstrate positive, courteous, service-oriented attitudes with the public and others
- be able to understand, speak and write English
- be able to sit for long periods of time
- be able to hear voices on the phone
- be able to handle confidential information
- prior health care/long term care experience preferred
