We’re seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead our growth efforts, with a focus on multi-site retail facilities and large industrial warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Focus: Identify and secure partnerships with multi-site retail facilities (e.g., grocery stores, pharmacies, big-box retailers) or large industrial warehouses.
- Innovative Selling Approach: Build relationships with decision-makers who hold “Facilities” roles. Develop contracts for comprehensive maintenance packages (e.g., regular roofing inspections, window and gutter repairs) rather than one-off services.
- Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to acquire contracts for large-scale maintenance programs, ensuring the sustained growth of our customer base.
- Regional Outreach: Manage opportunities within key regions (MD, DE, VA, and DC), with occasional nationwide scope for clients headquartered outside the territory.
Required Qualifications
- Proven Business Development Experience: Several years of successful sales experience within a relevant industry, with a strong track record of securing contracts.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial property and facilities management, particularly within multi-site retail and warehouse distribution facilities.
- Client Network: Previous experience working with industries such as facilities services, fire and safety, lighting and electrical maintenance, signage, and HVAC.
- Regional Flexibility: Based within 45 minutes of Sterling, VA, with the ability to travel within the area and visit office properties regularly.
Your Focus Areas
- Retail Facilities Management: Develop contracts with major retailers for long-term maintenance solutions, like quarterly inspections and repairs for brands such as Walgreens or Target.
- Large Industrial Warehouses: Gain partnerships with industry leaders to provide tailored maintenance solutions across their vast distribution facilities.
