Construction Project Manager Job Description:
Masis Professional Group is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for a very well established Heavy Industrial Construction company. As the Project Manager you’ll oversee high-value construction projects up to $50 million, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance. Please note that this role requires significant travel throughout the Midwest and Southeast for up to 18 months at a time.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects with professionalism, respect, and a focus on team collaboration.
- Set project goals, allocate resources, and execute at a high standard.
- Be the primary point of contact for clients to assess project scope and resource requirements.
- Supervise construction efforts, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, design, budget, and schedule.
- Work directly with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless communication.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Oversee financial aspects of contracts, including payments, rental equipment, and expenses.
- Manage extra work estimates, initiate change orders, and track project adjustments.
- Monitor productivity, material and equipment use, and ensure the contractual performance of the project.
- Assist with labor negotiations and strategy.
- Establish and maintain project policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and lead contractor meetings for effective collaboration.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers.
- Resolve issues quickly and efficiently to keep projects on track.
- Ensure the efficient closeout of the project, including financial reconciliation.
Construction Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in heavy industrial project management.
- Ability to manage all aspects of a project, including technical, safety, schedule, cost, and financial responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera, AutoCAD, and Viewpoint software.
- Experience in the automotive sector is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest and Southeast for up to 6 to 18 months at a time.
Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
