Investment Operations Analyst
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Investment Operations Analyst to join our client's team. This internal-facing role is ideal for a professional with 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position, with a preference for candidates who have 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, or business administration, with a keen ability to support and enhance investment operations processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboard new client information in CRM and reporting software (Redtail/Orion).
- Process client cashier requests (EFT, wires, etc.) for final approval.
- Act as a liaison with custodians while managing Orion data, system integrations, and overall system management.
- Serve as the in-house compliance officer, overseeing compliance tasks and coordinating with our outsourced compliance partner.
- Identify opportunities to automate back-office tasks, improving operational efficiency and minimizing risk.
- Generate and analyze daily reports related to cash logs and rebalancer updates.
- Conduct weekly account reviews to ensure alignment with asset allocation targets.
- Execute and input trades, including block trades, as necessary.
- Perform daily trade reviews within Fidelity/Schwab trading platforms.
- Reconcile trades from the previous day’s inputs to ensure accuracy.
- Review and manage cash trades to money market accounts on a weekly basis.
- Oversee the monthly client billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Run Orion reports for fee calculations and monitor the system for accuracy.
- Apply fees to client accounts within the first week of each month.
- Ensure proper onboarding of client accounts with the appropriate fee schedules in the Orion platform.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Strong understanding of investment operations, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Orion, Redtail, and Morningstar is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting.
