Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mass Mobility Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing motivational counseling to participants, developing family plans, and assisting with neighborhood/housing search tours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counseling and Support: Provide individualized guidance to participants interested in using their voucher in high-opportunity communities.
- Family Planning: Develop and support family plans, setting objectives, milestones, and timetables for successful moves.
- Housing Search: Conduct independent housing searches, identify units for participants, and communicate with property owners to encourage program participation.
- Program Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with staff from multiple departments to achieve program goals.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: 4-year degree in social work, public policy, or related field; 3 years of experience in social services/case management required, with additional experience in real estate and subsidized housing preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to maintain accuracy, detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
Work Environment:
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple competing tasks and demands. Physical requirements include inside and outside work in various weather conditions, medium to heavy work requiring prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
