About the Position
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turning Machinist to join our team at Masis Staffing Solutions in Stoughton, MA. As a CNC Turning Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines, as well as performing various machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operation of CNC turning machines.
- Performance of turning, drilling, tapping, and deburring tasks.
- Interpretation and navigation of CNC programs.
- Setup of machinery to conduct runs as specified.
- Multitasking or operation of additional machines when required.
- Pre-operational checks of CNC machinery.
- Direct labor performance following blueprints and established procedures.
- Examination and inspection of first articles produced.
- Monitoring of runs throughout the cycle.
- Maintenance of tooling and achievement of expected tool life.
- Adherence to safety standards at all times.
- Reporting of safety or maintenance concerns to management.
- Keeping of work areas clean and organized.
- Meeting of quotas without compromising quality.
- Holding of self to a high standard of quality.
- Attendance of safety and production trainings.
- Availability for overtime during high volume seasons.
- Recommendation of procedures for cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Assumption of additional related responsibilities as assigned.
