Overview
Mason Dixon Energy Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Field Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
The Field Safety Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety within the organization while minimizing risks associated with construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the safety and risk associated with all assigned projects and Company operation.
- Direct weekly safety meetings and ensure the Project Superintendent and Foreman are trained and educated to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, local, and company safety related regulations and programs.
- Train employees on HSE-related topics and ensure all field personnel have any/all client-required training.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to integrate safety into all phases of construction.
- Manage all drug and alcohol programs and ensure the Company remains compliant.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations related to occupational health and workers' compensation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries from employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Report all and any accidents, near-misses, and injuries immediately to Client, Project Manager, and Managing Member.
- Review all JSA’s weekly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a safety management role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS principles, and compliance management practices.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and the ability to assess risks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff on safety practices.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to travel up to 50% required.
