Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Social Media Manager at Mason Lee Dance Theater. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing the company's social media presence on various platforms (including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc...), developing content strategies, optimizing social media platforms, writing engaging content, and facilitating communication with the audience, which includes sending out our newsletters. The Social Media Manager will also help facilitate the dancer's - run Instagram account. The Social Media Manager will be meeting with the Executive Director on a weekly basis and will be expected to post 3 times a week on social media.
While the role is based in New York, NY with the scheduled work from home days. Ideal candidate must plan to stay in New York until May 2026.
Role will start in May 2025.
Qualifications
- Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills
- Excellent Communication skills
- Experience in developing Content Strategies
- Strong Writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of dance or theater industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
