Job Description
Summary - You will be responsible for reviewing project drawings/scopes of work, establishing a schedule and deployment plan for each assigned project. This will include interfacing with the customer and other trades as well as the internal routing, procurement, programming, operations, and rack fabrication teams. You will be out in the field on various projects in the tri-state area overseeing progress. You will be managing your own team.
Qualifications:
- Former field technician experience of at least 5 years required
- Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience
- In-depth knowledge of TIA/EIA standards for copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling
- Experience with backbone cabling, horizontal cabling, and MDF/IDF build-outs
- Proficient in terminating, testing, and certifying cables with Fluke or equivalent testers
- Familiarity with cable tray, conduit, raceway, and pathway design and installation
- Understanding of rack and cabinet installation, patch panel management, and labeling standards
- Ability to interpret structured cabling drawings, riser diagrams, and spec sheets
- Working knowledge of CCTV and access control systems
- Coordination of low voltage trades for security, AV, and data systems
- Familiarity with the following brands:
- Data: Panduit, Leviton, CommScope, Belden, Superior Essex, Corning, Hubbell, Ortronics
- Security: Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to direct projects by collaborating with Mason resources and external consultants, architects, end users, etc.
- Capability of managing multiple high-level projects at one time
- Able to work closely with Account Management team to strategize on customer engagement
- Experience managing multiple crews operating concurrently on multiple job sites
- Projects will be a combination of new construction and retrofits
- Ability to interface with the customer and provide schedules as well as updates on project status
- Building weekly reports to illustrate project completion status
- Working closely with finance to review milestones and completion percentages to provide necessary documentation for billing
- Experience engaging with various project stakeholders both internal and external
- Manage project flow throughout the entire process. This begins with the procurement of materials and establishment of schedule and follows through to the coordination of deliveries, staffing, and installation.
- Ability to review construction plans, rack elevations and bills of materials to establish labor estimates, material requirements and schedule.
- Interface directly with the customer to review accuracy of scope and maintain schedule
- Manage client expectations from delivery windows to complete system operation
- Ensure system functionality is complete and gain customer sign off at the conclusion of each project
Salary: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Position requires travel to and between job sites in Long Island, NYC, and New Jersey.
