We are seeking a dynamic finance director with a proven track record of success to manage and direct all company finances. Responsibilities include complex data analysis, budget forecasting, overseeing accounts and budgets, and making strategic financial decisions that will promote long-term financial gain
- Plan, develop, organize and implement the Company’s fiscal functions and performance including, but not limited to: cash flow; profitability; capital; credit and collection policies; and compliance with regulatory, tax, and contractual obligations.
- Plan, coordinate and lead weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting & analytics, communicating opportunities, risks and performance issues to business segment leadership.
- Review all contracts for clients, contractors and sub-contractors and monitor compliance with all provisions of the contract
- Establish internal work processes for financial department (including accounting and billing) and monitor their progress
- Use data analysis to strategically forecast financial trends
- Oversee all accounting work and set up internal and comply with external audits to ensure the accuracy of information
- Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
- Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, payroll, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
- Analyze and interpret financial data and present the information with reports and presentations to senior management.
- Participate in Mergers and Acquisitions projects including due diligence and integration processes.
- Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordingly
- Manage the finance department and keep an eye to provide training when necessary
- Work with external accountants for compliance
- Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar concentration.
- 8-10 years of experience in finance and business with preferably 4 years in a management position
- Excellent mathematical and analysis skills
- Ability to be hands-on with accounting and finance work
- Approachable leadership style with experience leading departments and individuals and developing new leaders.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as excel; SAGE experience is a plus
- Extremely knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles and financial data analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
- Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
- Commitment to the hours necessary to complete assignments
- Strong creative skills to develop new and innovative solutions
- Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
- Knowledge of Certified Payroll and Service-based accounting is preferred
- CPA is a plus
