What you’ll do:
Support the Dietary Services Director in daily food service operations across designated dining areas
Ensure compliance with dietary menus, special diets, portion sizes, and resident food preferences
Supervise, educate, and assist dietary aides on policy, procedure, sanitation, food safety, and hospitality standards
Maintain clean, organized, and stocked dining and kitchen areas
Conduct regular quality assurance checks on meal services
Lead training for new dietary staff
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident dining experiences
Manage food and supply orders and help control departmental budget
Provide staffing oversight and serve as point of contact during your shift
Participate in on-call rotation for staffing and operations support
What you’ll bring:
2 years of supervisory experience in dietary services, ideally in a long-term care or healthcare environment
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and special dietary requirements
Proven leadership and team-building capabilities
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to take initiative, think critically, and foster a learning culture
Commitment to elder-directed, person-centered care
Willingness to meet ongoing education and training requirements
