Job Purpose The Sr. Digital Product Owner leads, inspires and supports cross-functional, agile teams to deliver the customer’s maximum value from the software created by the development teams. The Sr. DPO possesses a deep understanding of the product vision, brings top-quality expertise to manage project requirements while exhibiting a high level of maturity in executing their responsibilities. The Sr. DPO works closely with stakeholders to comprehend and shape the product vision and roadmap. They serve as voice of the customer and work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team required to support the business unit’s vision. The Sr. DPO will lead working sessions, leveraging a big picture outlook and systems thinking to bring order to unorganized and incomplete information. The Sr. DPO understands the business needs, accurately communicates business problems, and works with the development team to create a digital solution that aligns with Masonite’s company goals. The Sr. DPO also creates a compelling business case on behalf of the development team to convey the digital solution that may be needed. The Sr. DPO is responsible for driving the development of highest value capabilities for all products and ensure the designs and features delivered meet the needs of business stakeholders. The Sr. DPO will work with other product owners to manage, refine, and prioritize the backlog ensuring items in the backlog tie back to the business value proposition. The Sr. DPO is self-motivated, able to adjust to changing circumstances quickly and professionally and diplomatic with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills while demonstrating and guiding behavior of other Product Owners. The Sr. DPO keep stakeholders engaged by gathering input and communicating progress as project features progress through the development life cycle. Having a Sr. DPO with a higher perspective ensures that the team maintains a cohesive vision despite the flexible and often fast-paced nature of agile product development. To ensure everyone is on the same page the Sr. Digital Product Owner will help to maintain the Program vision by creating their Product Roadmaps and contributing to the Program Roadmap. The Sr. DPO will lead the execution activities of cross-functional teams involving various business partners in the development and deployment of new products, product enhancements, and process improvements. Utilizing a user-centric mindset, this individual will be a key contributor in driving Masonite digital experiences. The Sr. DPO will develop clear thoughtful documentation with detailed product requirements defining user capabilities in how a system is designed. The Sr. DPO works closely with the stakeholders and define the next iterations of the product and plan their releases. They present the team’s perspective and point of view to the business and build trust between the two sides. Responsibilities Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders. Exceptional organization, verbal, and written communication skills. Responsible for innovation and end-to-end launch of products. Project manages their digital deliverables including cross functional team dependencies. Continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks. Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization. Works with user-focused departments to define the self-service user experience, support, and monitoring for customers both internal and external. Can resolve conflicts while demonstrating and guiding behaviors that can be followed by other Product Owners on the team. Prioritizes and contains the sprint backlog with other Product Owners for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders. Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology. Keeps a close eye on metrics and suggests new solutions to increase the products business value. Helps define and execute go-to-market plan, working to ensure that product management, marketing, and sales have what they need to be successful. Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment. Creates BRDs, process flows, roadmaps, testing templates, release notes and much more. Authors best practices that are repeatable by other product owners. Job responsibilities may vary depending on the business needs. Must be flexible with availability and meeting requests. Other duties as assigned by your manager. Traveling may be required (20% approx.) Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent level of experience 5 years Experience with Agile Development and Scrum Methodology required Ability to work independently with project cycles against shifting priorities Experience in various testing methodologies: Unit, Integration, Regression, UAT preferred Communicates effectively and professionally with reporting managers, users, customers and other team personnel with Demonstrates integrity and professionalism Fundamental analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills required Certified Scrum Product Owner, preferred Certified SAFe, nice to have Certified Scrum Master, nice to have #LI-JO2 We Help People Walk Through Walls We respect the privacy of candidates for employment.
