What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Safety Compliance Specialist position at Mass General Brigham Medical Group, Inc.?
Key Responsibilities:
*Fire Drill Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute fire drills to ensure team preparedness.
*Safety Audits & Inspections: Perform safety audits across clinical, laboratory, and support areas. Document observations and work with department representatives on rectifying any safety or compliance concerns.
*Hazardous Materials Oversight: Develop and maintain competency in hazardous waste management, providing technical support and oversight under the EH&S Director's guidance. Maintain Safety Data Sheet database.
*Indoor Air Quality Investigations: Support air quality assessments and investigations, collaborating with facilities teams and contractors to address concerns effectively.
*Technical Competency & Compliance: Keep current with relevant policies, codes, and standards, ensuring adherence to all EH&S regulations and life safety compliance

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree).
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
- Familiarity with CMS, AAAHC, and DPH codes
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, HEM) are a plus
