What are the responsibilities and job description for the RMV Language Access Coordinator (Administrator VI) position at Mass., Inc.?
Position Summary
The Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) Language Access Coordinator will ensure equal access to RMV services, programs, and activities for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) customers including deaf and hard of hearing individuals by managing language access services, the publishing of content in multiple languages, coordinating requests for onsite interpreters and providing training to RMV employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and actualize Language Access Plan (LAP) guidelines and protocols for RMV service operations as part of the overall MassDOT Language Access Plan
- Create a language access road map for the RMV.
- Create goals for materials / content / services in target languages.
- Develop a catalog and prioritization of materials - forms, documents, notices - to be translated. Such a catalog will include, but not be limited to :
CoNVMntent for Mass.Gov / RMV.
Serve as a liaison for RMV and MassDOT team members in their delivery of services to Limited English Proficiency customers
Manage, coordinate, and forecast needed LEP supports, including budgeting and staffing resource recommendations

Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration, or clinical management of which (B) at least one (1) year must have been in a project management, supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.
Substitutions
I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience.
II. A bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.
III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.
IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (A) experience.
