The Office of Admission seeks an Assistant Director or Senior Assistant Director of Admission is to recruit and enroll incoming first-year students on our Boston campus. This position will work with students through continued engagement and guidance. The Assistant/Senior Assistant Director is responsible for generating leads and meeting enrollment targets for an increasingly competitive market in an ever-changing landscape.
This is hybrid position offering remote work days each week.
• Advise students, parent(s)/guardian(s), and college counselors on a variety of programs throughout the application cycle
• Meet and exceed enrollment targets for new students.
• Meet with prospective students to communicate key differentiators of the university
• Conduct extensive outbound calling, email, and text message campaigns related to conversion and yield
• Develop recruitment strategies within assigned territories using data, attending college fairs and high school visits, making high school classroom presentations, building/maintaining relationships with high school college counselors and teachers
• Contribute to the overall recruitment efforts of the university through official travel, conducting admission presentations to on-campus visitors, conducting on and off-campus interviews
• Assists with a variety of campus programs and special events for prospective students and their families on the Boston campus
• Conducts on and off campus appointments and group presentations
• Conducts appointments with prospective students and parent(s)/guardian(s) to discuss financial aid financing options for attending MCPHS
• Reviews applications and makes admission decisions for first-year domestic students.
• Assists Director with meeting enrollment targets and managing discount rates for assigned programs
• Participates in professional development as related to admissions and professional organizations.
• Assists with special projects as assigned by the director
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Two years or more of recruitment experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate and market programs across all campuses
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to thrive in a customer service role
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
• Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
• Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and buildings
• Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
• Must be able to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during scheduled work hours and to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to travel at various times of the year locally and nationally.
• Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction)
