Director, Insurance Operations

Physicians Insurance (PI) has served thousands of clients since 1993 across 20 products, concentrated in medical malpractice, commercial insurance, and health insurance for physicians and healthcare entities in New England. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Insurance Operations to lead the operational transformation within our growing organization. This senior-level role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, implementing robust processes, and supporting strategic initiatives to accelerate our growth and solidify our market position. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in optimizing business operations within the insurance sector. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming our operations, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, and directly contributing to our competitive edge and bottom line. As a key player in our organization, you will collaborate cross-functionally within PI, as well as MMS and other group entities, to ensure alignment with our broader business goals and drive impactful change

Responsibilitie

1. s:Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive framework for tracking, monitoring, and driving key business, sales, and operational metrics across the organization to ensure achievement of growth objective
2. s.Leverage our internal systems and proprietary enterprise data platform to generate detailed reports and dashboards that provide comprehensive insights into business performance and operations, supporting strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term plannin
3. g.Continuously evaluate existing business processes and implement optimizations, supported by technology and tooling configurations, to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness throughout the organizatio
4. n.Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, staying abreast of changes that may impact the busines
5. s.Collaborate with finance teams to develop, manage, and oversee departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and maintaining financial discipline across the organizatio
6. n.Lead the identification, adoption, and integration of new technologies or tooling functionalities, working with carriers and third-parties as needed, to improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-makin
7. g.Assess tool utilization and gather employee feedback to identify training needs, developing targeted programs that enhance operational efficiency and upskill the workforc
8. e.Support the President to oversee and develop the PI team, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to ensure a high level of operational excellenc
9. e.Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreement
10. s.Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure operational alignment across PI, MMS, and other group organization
11. s.Conduct regular operational audits of both internal and client-facing operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to stay ahead of potential issues and enhance the overall client experienc
