Corporate Controller
We are seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented individual to join our exceptional team as a Corporate Controller. This position’s primary role is to assist Massage Luxe International, LLC’s CFO, and accounting team with the company’s financial operations. This includes assisting the CFO with accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits. Additionally, the Corporate Controller will be tasked with tracking and ensuring compliance with insurance requirements for our franchisees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a willingness to grow and learn.
· Co-manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
· Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements and reports
· Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
· Assist with coordinating external audits.
· Participate in the integration of new technologies impacting accounting processes.
· Preparation/review of quarterly sales/use tax reporting.
· Assist with various external reporting for government surveys, insurance reporting, ACA requirements and other required external reporting
· Assist with preparing tax information for outside CPA firm
· Knowledge of payroll and benefits laws
· Track and ensure compliance with insurance requirements for all franchisees.
· Maintain accurate records of franchisee insurance documentation and renewals.
· Liaise with insurance providers to manage claims and policy updates.
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
· Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to support business growth.
· Mentor and develop the finance/accounting team.
· Other duties as assigned by CFO
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within a multi-location environment.
- Public Accounting Experience is a plus
- Franchise Experience is a plus
- HR Experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
