Are you a strategic financial leader ready to make an impact with a leader in the dynamic restaurant franchise industry? Our corporate accounting team is growing, and we are actively seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join us. Reporting to the CFO, this critical role oversees financial and operational performance, ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and implements effective internal controls across a large-scale, multi-unit organization with over 1,000 locations.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Leadership : Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts. Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports.

Strategic Planning : Lead the budgeting process, providing strategic financial analysis and consulting to operations management. Support initiatives such as cost of sales improvement, ROI analysis, and risk assessment for new business opportunities.

Operational Excellence : Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external regulations. Manage fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and timely sales tax filings while maintaining compliance with taxing authorities.

Audit and Compliance : Prepare for financial audits and coordinate the audit process. Ensure financial records are maintained according to policies and procedures.

Efficiency and Analysis : Analyze financial data to recommend resource optimization, procedural improvements, and strategic solutions to business challenges.

Team Management : Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.

Proven success as a Controller or in a similar role within the restaurant industry, franchise management, or other large-scale multi-unit operations

Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and the full-cycle monthly close process.

Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and relevant legislation.

Hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple complex financial functions independently and efficiently.
