Job Overview
The Office Administrator at MassBay Home Care will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations. This role involves managing office tasks, coordinating with staff, and assisting with client-related administrative duties. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide basic information to clients and staff.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and client visits for nurses and caregivers.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Conduct background checks (e.g., CORI, OIG) for new hires and maintain records.
- File and organize client and employee documents securely.
- Follow up with nurses and caregivers regarding client updates or scheduling changes.
- Assist with light bookkeeping tasks, such as tracking expenses or processing invoices.
- Provide general administrative support to management and other staff as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- 1 years of administrative experience, preferably in healthcare or home care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with CORI/OIG checks is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
