Part-Time Special Projects Manager
Position Summary:
The MassHire Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Special Projects Manager to join our team from January through June, with the potential to transition into a full-time role in July. This role is essential in managing the lifecycle of grants, conducting data analysis and reporting, and contributing to the strategic priorities outlined in our Labor Blueprint and Strategic Plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant management, data analysis, and workforce development, with a passion for supporting regional labor initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the grant process, including drafting proposals, managing budgets, tracking deliverables, and completing final reporting.
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines, coordinating with stakeholders as needed.
- Seek opportunities to secure new funding to support workforce initiatives.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Research and analyze labor market trends to inform programming and decision-making.
- Compile and deliver quarterly reports on regional labor data for stakeholders and strategic use.
- Strategic Planning and Labor Blueprint Support:
- Provide operational and administrative support for the organization’s Strategic Planning process.
- Actively contribute to initiatives and projects aligned with the region’s Labor Blueprint priorities.

- Grant Expertise: Strong understanding of the grant process, from proposal development to final reporting.
- Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret labor market data effectively.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in grant management, data analysis, or workforce development.
- Familiarity with labor market data and workforce development initiatives is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Schedule and Commitment:
- This is a part-time position (20–25 hours per week) from January through June.
- Potential to transition into a full-time role beginning in July.
