MasTec is seeking a motivated Fiber Service Technician to join our team! In this entry-level role, most of your day-to-day work will consist of driving a company van to customers' homes, performing installations and maintenance of satellite systems, and ensuring top-notch customer experiences. This role involves hands-on work with the latest technology, working outdoors, and delivering exceptional service to customers.
START DATE: 3/24
Starting Pay: $22 -$24 an Hour

Requirements:
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift 60-80 pounds and comfortably climb ladders ranging from 28 to 36 feet.
- Safety: Meet all safety requirements and standards.
- Flexibility: Adapt to various environmental conditions and be willing to work weekends or evenings.
- Valid Driver’s License: Essential for operating our company van.
Duties:
Testing and troubleshooting continuity of fiber optic networks
· Operate all testing equipment and be adept at resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networks
· Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, Commscope, Corning etc.
· Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Refelctometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter
· Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels and dB loss
· Work in outdoor utility construction sites
