Responsibilities
As a Business System Manager / Data Engineer , you are responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. And you're up for the challenge.
- Fully remote position - Central Time Zone preferred
- MUST HAVE advanced skillset in PowerBI and Power Query
In addition, you will :
Manage daily operations, support, training, maintenance, and validation areas of our data warehousing and analytics tools, specifically PowerBI and Power QueryDesign and maintain solutions for data ingestion and transformation for use in unified reportingDevelop and maintain documentation for designs and implementations, and provide training to peers and end-users as requiredProvide expertise in designing queries and reports that provide actionable business insightsInterface with the customer to ensure deliverables are metMonitor, validate, design, and develop automation scriptsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data setsEngage with local markets and / or process managers to aid in the definition and / or development of new process improvement opportunitiesWork with other business units within the company to identify requirements needed for software and / or experimental designsParticipate in group meetings as a subject matter expertOther duties as assignedQualifications
About You :
You Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related fieldYou have exemplary problem-solving skillsWorks well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow-through skillsPreferred experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Spark / Scala, R, and C#Advanced experience with data reporting and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Power Query and Tableau (REQUIRED)Willingness and strong confidence in ability to learn new technical skills, adaptability to new programming languages and technical frameworksSolid written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with high-level leaders in the organization to facilitate accurate business decisions with qualitative analysisSolid ability to provide excellent customer service and establish and maintain credibility and interpersonal relationships with a diverse group of individuals (e.g., business leaders, colleagues, and staff at all levels)Ability to work remotely in a quiet, dedicated office space with reliable internet connectionHard work pays off. Salary Guidelines : $95,000-$110,000 / yr (DOE)
