Wireline experience a must!
This position is 80% travel. Per Diem paid $50 a day plus hotel and car when traveling.
We are looking for someone who has CO experience at the main switch hubs
Looking for candidates in Central Region USA (Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Dakotas perferred location
Responsibilities
The Survey Engineer II is responsible for working with Project Managers and Construction Managers to quote new Central office work to their customers including developing the scope of work, engineering requirements, material requirements, and resource requirements. Quote new Central office work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have a working knowledge of AT&T, Verizon, and other customers (Charter, Spectrum, Nokia, Brightspeed, CSpire etc).
- Familiar with AT&T, Verizon standards (TP, IP, GR1275)
- Understand engineering and installation processes
- Able to create an installation material list
- Able to sketch cable routes, cable rack add locations, fiber duct add locations
- Willing to travel 90% of the time
- Able to coordinate travel independently through MasTec travel site (keep own schedule with minimal supervision)
- Will need PC skills
- Will need strong communications skills
- Will need to be able to work alone and make quick decisions
- Must be proficient in MS OFFICE, Excel, Word, etc.
